A woman and three men were served with drug charges yesterday from Ware Shoals Police. They were arrested around 6:30 Tuesday evening at Pitt’s Park along the Saluda River in the Laurens County portion of town.
All were charged with possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute. Warrants from the Police Chief cite possession 115.70 grams of marijuana. The illegal weed was reportedly in three bags that were found inside a large ziplock bag. Each suspect was also charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute within Proximity of a Park. They were also issued tickets at 6:28 pm Tuesday charging Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and with an Open Container of Beer violation in the park.
Those arrested included 30-year-old Charmetria Leashus Makins of 58 East Honea Path Street, Ware Shoals. She was also charged with Unlawful Conduct Towards a Child for allegedly having her child with her and the three adult males with possession of the illegal substances in Pitts Park Tuesday evening.
The men arrested on the drug charges were 19-year-old Alterrio Kenyata Agnew of 544 West Gardner Trace Road, Columbia, 20-year-old Nikeenm Eric Davis of 12 Circle Street, Ware Shoals and 24-year-old Johnny Brooks Smith of 168 South Greenwood Avenue, Ware Shoals. No bond was set on the Paraphernalia charge, according to jail records this morning. Bonds on the other charges totaled $20,155 for the three men, and $25,155 for Ms Makins. They all remained in the Johnson Detention Center earlier this morning.
