Clinton Public Safety arrested a teenaged male yesterday after he had allegedly attempted to pawn a computer stolen from a vehicle in town on Monday. 17-year-old Xaicantis Tychee Watts of 176 John Grant Street, Cross Hill was charged with Breaking into a Motor Vehicle, Petit Larceny and with Possession of Stolen Goods. Sgt. Shane Prather states that on August 5th Watts entered a motor vehicle at 111 East Walnut Street with intent to commit larceny and carried away a lap top computer that was taken from the vehicle at that address. Sgt. Prather states that Watts had this lap top in his possession yesterday at Pawn Works on Sloan Street attempting to sell it. Bonds were set yesterday at $5,000 on the Auto Break-in charge and $1,000 each on the Theft and Possession charges. Xaicantis Watts was transferred to the Johnson Detention Center, where he remained earlier this morning.
