Methamphetamine Manufacturing charges were served yesterday on a man and woman delivered to the Johnson Detention Center overnight, after an alleged meth lab investigation at their residence Sunday evening. 33-year-old Melissa Brooke Burkhalter and 36-year-old Benjamin Gerald Fuller of 55 Dragon Trail, Laurens were both charged yesterday with Methamphetamine Manufacture and Illegal Disposal of Methamphetamine Waste. Sgt. Nick Moye states that on September 7th each had in their possession items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine at 55 Dragon Trail and that they illegally disposed of methamphetamine waste at that location. Bonds were set on the two charges totaling $40,000 on both Burkhalter and Fuller. They remained in the Johnson Detention Center earlier this morning. Benjamin Fuller was also served with a Bench Warrant from Family Court this past spring. Dated April 23rd and showing a Joanna address, it cites Fuller with failure to appear in court and failure to make support payments.
Two Waterloo Men were being held earlier today, pending narcotics charges from the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office.
