A report of an assault with injuries dispatched Sheriff’s Corporal Farrah Cook to a residence on Skippers Lodge Road, Cross Hill at 10:58 last night. She reported arriving to observe a woman sweeping food and debris out the front door while screaming at a man. She was bleeding from her head, but Cpl. Cook states the woman was uncooperative in answering questions. In talking with the man and woman at the scene Cpl. Cook was told they had both smacked the other as an argument developed. During the exchange the woman reportedly fell near the refrigerator and struck her head on a vase. Both the man and woman reportedly admitted to breaking kitchen furniture and throwing it into the yard. 53-year-old Teresa Lynn Conner of 3957 Skippers Lodge Road, Cross Hill was transported by EMS to Self Regional for treatment of her head injury. 52-year-old Anthony Wayne Wright of the same address was treated at the scene by EMS for a laceration to his hand. Sgt. Timmons then placed him under arrest and transported him to the Johnson Detention Center early this morning. Due to a determination of a mutual combat, Corporal Cook was to seek warrants today to charge both Ms. Conner and Mr. Wright with Criminal Domestic Violence.
