A motorcycle stolen from Greenville County was recovered midday yesterday at an address in Laurens County’s Green Pond area. Laurens County Deputy Brad Shepard assisted two investigators from Greenville County Sheriff’s Office in visiting the residence late in the morning. A motorcycle was observed at the location, partially covered under a tarp. Deputy Shepard reported the tarp did not cover the Vehicle Identification number (VIN) so that officers were able to determine this was the stolen vehicle they were looking for. The person who was the new owner of the motorcycle came home and produced a title to show it was his, noting he had purchased it in Greenwood. Deputy Shepard noted the title was for a vehicle with a different VIN and from a different year. The recovered motorcycle was valued at $4,000 and owned by a company in Gaston, South Carolina. There was no indication of charges served yesterday.
