The Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for an alleged domestic assault with a box cutter yesterday morning. 34-year-old Ronnie Brooks Trammell of 12118 Highway 56 North, Clinton was jailed then charged with Criminal Domestic Violence of a High and Aggravated Nature. Deputy Sibley states that on February 24th Ronnie Brooks Trammell did knowingly and willfully cause or attempt to cause injury to a member of his household. He allegedly used a deadly weapon in commission of the assault and/or caused reasonable fear of serious bodily injury. The warrant states that the assault was of a high and aggravated nature in that Trammell was armed with a box cutter. During arraignment later yesterday, a cash or surety bond was set at $15,000. Ronnie Brooks Trammell remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
