Multiple charges were served yesterday on a Laurens woman, alleging crimes last summer and last month. Laurens City Police charged 36-year-old Peachanna Cunningham of 105 Hunter’s Court, Laurens with one Count of Petit Larceny – Enhanced, three Counts of Forgery – Enhanced and three counts of Financial Transaction Card Fraud.
Detective Joey Pittman states that on March 24th 2015 Peachanna Cunningham used a bank card belonging to a female victim three times on Greenwood Road in Laurens without permission. This reportedly was used twice to obtain $202.50 in cash from an ATM and once to obtain $21.48 worth of merchandise.
Detective Leann Riggott states that on August 13th, 2014 Ms. Cunningham stole checks belonging to another woman from a Stuart Street location for the purchase of obtaining value or benefit. In additional warrants Officer Riggott alleges that Peachanna Cunningham forged and published three checks belonging to another woman. A $320 check was forged and presented at Founder’s on West Main August 14, 2014 and two $350 checks were presented at Palmetto Bank at 501 Church Street and 101 West Main August 15, 2014.
Peachanna Cunningham, also known as “Peaches,” was being held overnight in the Johnson Detention Center, pending a bond hearing today.
