Clinton Public Safety responded to an apartment at 1321 South Broad at 42 minute after midnight Friday morning on an assault report. Officers Kuykendall and Yelton met with a Mountville woman who said her Baby’s Daddy had just assaulted her by punching her in the mouth. The Clinton man had reportedly been calling her on her cell phone and they began arguing during the call. The Mountville woman went to and a Clinton woman went to her apartment after work. Her Baby’s Daddy allegedly came into the apartment uninvited and started “swinging on” the young woman. She showed a cut lip from the assault. The other woman had a cut to her arm. Neither wanted EMS to see to their injuries. From the entry into the apartment and the alleged assaults on his Baby’s Mama and her friend, charges were being sought to charge the man with Burglary 1st, Criminal Domestic Violence and Simple Assault. The man had left the apartment before police arrived.
