A Clinton woman called Laurens City Police to the Shoppes at Wal-Mart at 6:42 last evening on a vehicle hit-and-run. She said another woman had told her that her car was hit by another car, which had moved down in the parking lot. Officer James Woody reported observing small scratches at the rear driver-side fender. In locating the suspect vehicle, he found it had extensive damage, apparently from a previous wreck, and indicated the case was going to require further investigation. Damage to the victim’s vehicle was estimated at $150.
