The Laurens County Memorial Hospital has its 25th Anniversary Celebration set for Thursday evening in the Ferguson Meditation Garden on the hospital campus. GHS Laurens County Spokesperson Jamie Adair talked with us about the event.
“It is our 25th Anniversary since we opened the doors of our, as we call it ‘new’ hospital to Laurens County and it is a celebration of growth. In terms of facility growth. In terms of services and programs, our medical staff, just health care delivery to Laurens County. We’re really proud of it, so we’re celebrating it!”
Jamie Adair said the Thursday evening event is a Chamber After Hours, and chamber members were given a number to call and indicate they’re attending. But she said others in the community interested in celebrating the 25th Anniversary are also invited, but need to call her to RSVP for the event.
“You can call me directly…Jamie Adair … 833-91-31. Leave your name and your telephone number and I will add you to the list. We want this to be a community celebration.”
Adair said the event will include the Greenville Symphony Strings performing, refreshments will be served and there will be presentations recapping the hospital’s history. The celebration is Thursday from 5 to 7 pm.
