Arrest in Theft of $5-10 Thousand

 Clinton Public Safety yesterday served charges on a Charlotte man for a restaurant burglary in Clinton last fall. 23-year-old Rashad Lamar Waller of 1611 Washington Street, Charlotte is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary in the 2^nd Degree, 2^nd Degree Burglary and Grand Larceny. In arrest warrants, Detective Lt. Tyrone Goggins alleges that Rashad Waller conspired with three individuals between September 10^th and 15^th last year to commit the Burglary, that he then committed a 2^nd Degree Burglary September 15^th at the McDonald’s at 12774 Highway 56 North, during which he allegedly took between $5,000 and $10,000 of United States currency from the business. The theft reportedly occurred around 4:48 the morning of September 15^th, 2012. Bonds were set yesterday totaling $40,000 on the three charges. Rashad Lamar Waller was placed in the Johnson Detention Center, where he remained today with a hold for authorities in Virginia.
