Two Attempted Murder Charges Allege November Shooting

  A man wanted for allegedly shooting at two people in a car last month was arrested by the Sheriff’s office last night. 34-year-old Doane Jerel Allen of 355 Lakeview Drive, Gray Court was charged with Two Counts of Attempted Murder, One charge of Malicious Damage to Property and one count for Use of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime.

  Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Franklin states that on November 22nd, 2013 Doane J. Allen attempted to murder by shooting a firearm into a vehicle that victims Keaubre Putman and Shameka S. Lloyd were in. This allegedly caused great bodily injury to Ms. Lloyd, with her seeking medical treatment. This allegedly occurred at 113 Carriage Farms Circle, Gray Court. Lt. Franklin states that Doane Allen did malicious damage of under $2,000 value to the vehicle by shooting multiple holes in it with a firearm at 113 Carriage Farms Circle.

  The Sheriff’s Office also had a Bench Warrant from Magistrate’s Court ordering the arrest of Doane Allen. Judge Thomas Copeland sentenced Allen to 30 days or $171 fine following a March 19th, 2013 conviction for Driving under a Suspended License.
