Laurens County Council this week held a public hearing then gave 3rd and final reading for incentives for expansion of an existing industry in the county. Ordinance 784 authorizes a ‘fee in lieu of tax’ agreement between the county and Asten-Johnson, and with benefits of a multi-county industrial park to be made available to the company with the expansion.
County Council also held a public hearing and gave 3rd and final reading to Ordinance 790, which amends an existing agreement for development of joint county industrial and business park by and between Laurens and Greenville counties to Enlarge the boundaries of the park to include certain additional property in Laurens County presently owned and operated by a company identified as “Project Needle.”
