Items valued at just under $4,000 were reported stolen in a report to the Sheriff’s Office yesterday. Sheriff’s Sgt. Ron Wood was dispatched to the 8600 address range of Old Laurens Road, Gray Court at 11:55 yesterday morning to investigate a burglary. A man said he comes to that location daily to check on and feed his cattle. He had left the previous evening at 6:00 and returned at 11:30 yesterday morning. He said during that time someone had broken into a log cabin on his property by forcing the right side window open. They took various antiques and collectables valued at $1,000, plus a washer and dryer, fishing gear and a paddle boat with these items valued at $2,900. The case was referred to investigations.
