Clinton Public Safety responded to the 200 block of Davis Street at 4:31 yesterday afternoon on a report that an unknown woman was entering a vehicle. As Sgt. Cathy Anderson arrived she reportedly observed a female subject attempting to open a gate to the residence with the homeowner holding the gate shut. The subject was noted as unsteady of balance and unable to answer questions of the officer. The woman allegedly resisted arrest by pulling away and yelling profane language at the officer. Arrested was a resident from another house on the block. 50-year-old Shelia Annette Caughman of 203 Davis Street, Clinton was charged with Public Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest and placed in City Jail.
