A man who reportedly fled from Clinton Police in late March was brought into custody yesterday. 40-year-old Greg Thanh Vo of 200 Jefferson Street, Clinton was taken to Municipal Court on a charge of Unlawful Communication. He was convicted and Judge Link sentenced him to ten days in the Johnson Detention Center on that case.
Meanwhile, Clinton Police served charges he was wanted for in March. Warrants accuse him of Stalking and Resisting Arrest. In those warrants, Clinton Police Sgt. Anthony Harris states that between March 21st and 25th of this year the defendant, through a pattern or words and conduct which served no legitimate purpose, caused the victim to fear death, assault, bodily injury and property damage to herself and her boyfriend. Sgt. Harris states that on March 29th Vo resisted arrest during an encounter with police on Florence Street near Jefferson Street. Greg Vo allegedly ran away from officers despite loud commands telling him to stop and that he was under arrest.
Cash or surety bonds were set at $20,000 on the Stalking charge and $5,000 for the Resisting Arrest. Greg Vo remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
