Clinton Public Safety arrested a local man Friday Afternoon on multiple Drug Distribution charges that cite undercover purchases from early last year. 35-year-old George Junior Scurry of 11 Townsend Street, Laurens
Aka “June J,” was charged with four counts, Distribution of Crack Cocaine 3rd or Subsequent Offense, four counts, Distribution of Crack within Proximity of a School and one charge, Simple Possession of Marijuana.
Sgt. Shane Prather states that George Junior Scurry sold a quantity of crack cocaine to a confidential informant working in an undercover capacity. These transactions allegedly occurred on Neighborhood Drive on January 28th, January 31st, February 3rd and March 10th, 2014. These transactions allegedly occurred within a half mile of M.S. Bailey School. The warrants cited work of Investigators Prather and Goggins. George Junior Scurry was released Saturday morning on surety bonds totaling $100,000 on the eight Crack Cocaine charges, and a $620 personal recognizance bond on the Simple Possession of Marijuana charge.
