Laurens County Deputies were dispatched to Hayes Ambulance Service at 2143 Torrington Road outside Clinton at 10:12 last night after an employee dialed 911 with a report that his business partner had pointed a gun at him.
Corporal Farrah Cook reported arriving to observe the alleged subject and another man leaning on a vehicle. A frisk did not locate a weapon at that time. The alleged victim then approached the officer. He reportedly claimed he was in an office when the subject burst into the office and pointed a gun at him. Officers viewed video of the scene and located two pistols and ammunition in the ambulance service office.
The owner of Hayse Ambulance Service, 25-year-old Billy James Hayes of 2143 Torrington Road, Clinton was then arrested and placed in the Johnson Detention Center. He was being held earlier today, pending warrants to be obtained by Lt. Jawarski Shelton.
