No, those were not dogs in the Dog Pound at a Laurens Police station late yesterday and this morning. Laurens Police were dispatched to Scott Street on a report of goats running loose at 10:28 yesterday morning. Lt. Heath Copeland reported that officers were able to locate and capture 5 goats. They remained in the dog pound on Laurens Street overnight. Officers were attempting to locate the goats’ owner.
Clinton Public Safety was dispatched to an East-Side residence yesterday on concern about a dog’s welfare. An officer reported arriving to observe the Pit Bull appeared to not have water or food, and had something protruding from its backside. The owner said she’s feeding and watering the dog and following Vet instructions for the animal’s condition: Vaginal Prolapse. Officers were going to do follow-up to check on the dog.
