Arrests of people accused of attempting to purchase illegal amounts of Ephedrine products continued yesterday. After booking nine people Wednesday from the Sheriff’s Office investigation, three more were charged yesterday with attempts to purchase in excess of nine grams of Ephedrine products in a 30-day period.
32-year-old Crisha Renee Bodie of 1211 Highway 56 North, Clinton is accused of an attempt March 2nd at the Laurens Wal-Mart. She was released on a $465 personal recognizance bond.
43-year-old Donna Jean Long and 25-year-old Robert Perry “Robby” Long, both of 659 Barrell Stave Road, Clinton, were charged with attempting the acquisition April 6th at Wal-Mart. Donna Jean Long, also known as Donna Simmons, and Robert “Robby” Long remained in the Johnson Detention Center overnight, pending a bond hearing this morning.
