A report of two males being observed in a neighbor’s vehicle dispatched Clinton Public Safety to Phillips Street at 1:37 yesterday morning. Officer Kuykendall spoke with the vehicle owner, who indicated that her purse had been gone through and $50 was removed from a bank envelope. He took the envelope to look for fingerprints. The person who reported the vehicle intrusion indicated he observed the two males run off in the direction of Shands Street. Clinton Officers assisted by a PC Officer searched the area without locating any suspects.
Meanwhile, the man who had spotted the two males in his neighbor’s vehicle checked his truck but all he noted missing was a cigar from his package of Swisher Sweat Cigars. Officer Kuykendall collected the empty package for possible fingerprints.
