Clinton Public Safety has had multiple car break-ins in the College View area. Two were reported on West Walnut Street yesterday morning. In one of those a dog’s barking alerted the homeowner, and when she came to the door the intruder reportedly fled the scene. Clinton Public Safety was dispatched to West Maple early this morning on another auto break-in. Officers noted that most car break-ins are to cars the owners leave unlocked. In one of the car break-ins in College View, someone broke out a window to gain entry.
In addition to the damage from one auto break-in on West Walnut, Clinton Public Safety yesterday investigated other, unrelated auto vandalism reports on Tandy way and Milling Street.
