An altercation at the Ware Shoals Drag Way Saturday led to an arrest late Saturday night. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Johnathan Lee Wood of 11 Maddox Bridge Road, Ware Shoals and charged him with Pointing and Presenting a Firearm. In the warrant, Deputy McMahan states that the investigation of Lt J.D. Shelton indicates that on August 29th one Johnathan Lee Wood unlawfully and not in self- defense pointed a firearm at a victim at the Ware Shoals Drag Way.
Johnathan Lee Wood was released Sunday morning on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
