The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office yesterday served charges from a couple burglaries in June of 2012. 43-year-old Brenda Gail Branham of 2833 Pumpkintown Highway, Pickens was transferred to the Johnson Detention Center yesterday and served with charges of 1st Degree Burglary, 2nd Degree Burglary and Grand Larceny. In warrants, Lt. She allegedly entered the dwelling and became armed with a deadly weapon, a firearm. She is accused of taking a firearm and jewelry from that dwelling. She is also accused of entering a dwelling at 244 Smaltz Road, Kinards on June 20, 2012 without consent and with intent to commit a crime therein.
Bond was denied on all three Laurens County charges yesterday. Meanwhile, Brenda Gail Branham was released from the Johnson Detention Center, apparently to head to Newberry County where the Sheriff’s Office also has burglary and larceny charges.
