Among technological advances discussed at last night’s District 55 School Board meeting, School Trustees were briefed on use of cell phones in the classroom. Board members who attended last week’s annual convention of the State School Boards Association reported a state-wide push for more technology, moving away from books and into new ideas such as the use of cell phones in class. School Board member Terri Martin said “I am not too crazy about kids having cell phones in classrooms, but we will see.”
