The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office yesterday charged a resident of Owings two counterfeiting incidents last month. 20-year-old Christopher Devonta Jenkins of 4451 North Old Laurens Road, Gray Court was served with two warrants charging him with Forgery.
Lt. Blackmon states that on July 21st. and on July 22nd Mr. Jenkins falsely made, forged or counterfeited or willfully acted or assisted in counterfeiting of money. Value of the counterfeiting noted in each warrant was under $10,000.
Cash or surety bonds were set totaling $20,000 on the two charges. Christopher Devonta Jenkins remained in the Laurens County Detention Center this morning.
