Clinton Public Safety arrested a man Sunday after he had allegedly assaulted two women at Landau Apartments. 26-year-old Michael Tyrone Brown was booked in the county detention center with a Wattsville address of 12 Townsend Street, Laurens. Warrants were served yesterday charging him with Domestic Violence 2nd Degree and Assault and Battery 3rd Degree.
One warrant states Brown committed 2nd degree Domestic Assault by striking the victim in the face with a closed fist, causing great bodily injury, possibly breaking bones in her face during the assault in an apartment at 1321 South Broad. That warrant states that he and the victim live together and have a child in common. In the 3rd Degree Assault and Battery warrant, Brown is accused of striking the victim in her face with a closed fist, also at 1321 South Broad Sunday.
Cash or surety bonds were set including $25,000 on the 2nd Degree Domestic Violence charge. Michael Tyrone Brown remained in the Laurens County Detention Center this morning.
