Laurens Police responded to Faith Baptist Church on Greenwood Road at 12:24 Saturday afternoon on report of an assault. A woman indicated that the man with whom she has a child locked her in his car and left her residence, then stopped in the parking lot of the church and assaulted her while pulling her out of the vehicle. He had allegedly punched her in the ribs, yanked her from the car and slammed her on the pavement. The woman indicated the man had dropped their daughter at her house and reacted negatively to her not wanting to reopen their relationship. Laurens Police were looking for the man for charges expected to include Kidnapping and Criminal Domestic Violence.
